With the recent trial of the murderer of George Floyd and multiple police shootings, police accountability is an issue on everybody's mind. It is important to note that Connecticut passed a police accountability law in 2020 that is a model for the rest of the country. Gary Winfield, Chief Deputy Majority Leader of the CT Senate was a major author and promoter of that legislation.
