"Thanks to AHA’s lobbying team, and to sponsors Representative Jim Himes (D-CT) and Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), H. Res. 847 and S. Res. 495 offer an opportunity to:
* Designate February 12, 2020, as “Darwin Day” (retroactively);
* Uphold that “the advancement of science must be protected from individuals unconcerned with the adverse impacts of global warming and climate change”; and
* Assert that “the teaching of creationism in some public schools compromises the scientific and academic integrity of the education systems of the United States.”
These resolutions will only be voted on and passed if enough members sign on as co-sponsors."
Let's keep an eye out for whether this gets enough co-sponsors and votes.
